Lord, you value a contrite spirit,
A broken heart.

Lord, break my heart and my pride,
I renounce them!

Lord, smash them with the hammer
Of Your love.

Your inescapable love.

I have not reached the point of brokenness.
I fear it.
But I love You more.

I am desperate to shed my rebellious nature,
My ego.
I despise them.
Only You can free me.
